RISC_ML Project Closing Conference

Next Thursday, November 25, will be held the closing day of the RISC_ML project.

European POCTEP project that was born with the aim of obtaining greater knowledge of the international hydrographic demarcation, the establishment of mechanisms for joint management of droughts and early warning of floods that will allow both countries greater preparedness and responsiveness in the territory against extreme events.

As an assessment and balance of the project, the results achieved after 4 years of execution, related to the improvement in the knowledge of the Miño-Limia International Hydrographic Demarcation, will be presented at 4:30 p.m. on November 25. The project partners will explain the conclusions obtained in the study of the impact of climate change on water resources, the existing management mechanisms in relation to the identification and management of droughts and the establishment of early warning systems to assess the real risk of floods in different areas of the basin, as well as the new control points implemented within the RISC_ML.

During the event, the final video will be presented, which gathers the actions carried out within the general framework of the project. In addition, there will be a reflection on the future challenges faced by the Miño-Limia Demarcation.
