27 Mar CHMS AND UNIVERSIDAD DE VIGO ADVANCE IN THE ANALYSIS OF THE INTERNATIONAL HYDROGRAPHIC DEMARCATION OF MIÑO-LIMIA
The Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation, the National Geographic Institute and the mapping team of the University of Vigo have carried out a working meeting within the framework of the RISC-ML Project, in which the advances in the revision of the demarcation’s hydrographic network have been analysed with special attention to the areas of the headwaters of the riverbeds and to the sections of the urban areas.
During the meeting it became clear that, of the eleven areas into which the demarcation has been divided, the complete analysis of four of them has been completed, two of which cover the entire Castilian-Leonese part and the remaining two a part of the provinces of Lugo and Ourense. At the moment the revision of the fifth zone that is located in the province of Lugo has begun.
These works are developed in compliance with the Action “Joint cartography of the international hydrographic demarcation Miño-Limia” of the Activity Nº 1 “Analysis of the basins of the rivers Miño and Limia at geographical and hydrological level” of the project RISC_ML.
