Telematic meeting of the Risc_ML project’s ongoing working group

The entities that make up the RISC_ML project partnership, led by the Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation, met by videoconference on Thursday 18 June 2020 on the occasion of the 17th meeting of the Joint Working Group.

This meeting has served to renew contact after the COVID-19 pandemic situation and to update the degree of progress of the project’s actions since the previous meeting, as well as to analyze the main challenges that the project will face in the following months of implementation.

On the other hand, the level of execution of the main actions of the project has been updated, highlighting the good degree of development of such relevant actions as the new cartography of the international river basin district (whose final version will be available before the end of 2020), or the Joint Drought Plan, whose publication will be imminent once the Portuguese part has been integrated.

Also highlighted, among other issues, are the advances in the SAICA and SAIH Network stations by the CHMS, with 6 stations already in operation and others that will be executed in the coming months, the studies of natural retention measures against floods or the imminent virtualization of servers and improved functionality of the computer service in view of the implementation of the new communications and data storage system for the international demarcation.

Finally, the project entities have been summoned to meet again on 29 July for a new meeting of the Joint Working Group.
