16 Jan EXTENSION OF THE RISC MIÑO-LIMIA PROJECT UNTIL 31 DECEMBER 2020
The partnership of the RISC_ML project, led by the Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation, has held a working meeting at the headquarters of the ARH-NORTE HPA in which the main aspects to be taken into account, both at a technical and financial level, have been presented following the approval of the extension of the project for a further 12 months, which makes it possible for the project to last until 31 December 2020.
The meeting established the roadmap to be taken into account in the successive months of project implementation, the challenge of which is to continue, at a good pace, each and every one of the technical actions to be developed by each partner.
Likewise, it was advanced that during this period some of the most important results developed within the framework of the project will be seen as a result of the close cooperation between the technicians of the organizations and entities represented in the project.
In this sense, it is important to highlight the progress made in the hydrometeorological and water quality control stations in real time, with 5 new stations of the Automatic Water Quality System Network (SAICA), already completed or being implemented by the Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation, which are added to the 2 already in operation in Portugal (SNIRH Network) carried out by APA.
On the other hand, we should also mention the progress made in the Communications Protocol or the Joint Drought Plan for the entire International Miño-Limia District, results of which are already very close to being developed and which can be presented in the short term.
The next meeting of the Joint Working Group will be held on 19 February in Ourense.
